A tragic incident unfolded in Barangay Dayap-Itaas, Laurel, Batangas, as a 37-year-old construction worker from Bacoor, Cavite, was discovered lifeless in his barracks.
The victim was found by his coworkers with three stab wounds to his neck, raising alarm and prompting a swift response from authorities.
While the motive and perpetrator behind the heinous act remain unclear, law enforcement has identified a person-of-interest in connection with the crime.
The deceased’s body has been transferred to a funeral home in Laurel, Batangas, as investigations persist to unravel the circumstances surrounding the untimely death.
“We are currently conducting an investigation regarding this matter. At present, we are taking affidavits from witnesses of the incident. According to his companion, there were two of them, but one of his companions left for a certain destination,” stated PMAJ. Francisco Luceña IV, Chief of Laurel Police Station.
“If they feel any sense of fear, they can approach the police stationed along the highway or our patrolling officers,” Luceña advised, urging individuals with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
