Pasig City Bullying Victim’s Family Demands Justice After Lenient Punishment

Pasig City – The family of a student who was allegedly bullied in a viral video is demanding justice after the school imposed a lenient punishment on the perpetrator. The family filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the three-day community service given to the alleged bully was insufficient.

The incident, which was captured on video and widely circulated online, shows the victim being subjected to physical and verbal abuse by a schoolmate. The video also shows several other students present, who allegedly watched the incident without intervening. The victim’s family has filed complaints against these students as accomplices.

The victim’s mother expressed her deep concern over the impact of the bullying on her son, stating that he has been traumatized to the point of refusing to leave their house and attend school. “My son is afraid to go back to school,” she said. “He is constantly reliving the incident and is too scared to face his tormentors.”

The family met with the families of the bullies at the school, but they were unsatisfied with the school’s response. “We believe that the punishment is too light,” the victim’s father said. “It does not reflect the severity of the incident and sends a message that bullying is acceptable.”

The alleged bully and the school have refused to comment on the incident.

This incident has sparked outrage among parents and students in Pasig City, highlighting the need for stricter measures to address bullying in schools. Many are calling for the school to take more decisive action to protect students from bullying and ensure a safe learning environment.

The police are currently investigating the case and are expected to take statements from all parties involved. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of bullying and the importance of addressing it effectively.
