On December 13, 2024, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the results of the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). Thousands of aspiring educators successfully passed the tests for both elementary and secondary levels.
According to the PRC, approximately 46.67% of the 44,764 examinees for the elementary level passed, while 58.78% of the 85,980 secondary level examinees achieved success. Top-performing schools for this examination include Philippine Normal University-Manila (PNU) and Cebu Technological University (CTU), which demonstrated outstanding results in their respective categories.
The LET assesses future teachers in areas such as General Education, Professional Education, and Specialization, ensuring they possess the knowledge and skills required for the teaching profession. Notably, the use of calculators was limited to certain aspects of the Mathematics component as specified by the PRC’s Board for Professional Teachers.
Successful examinees are advised to register for their professional oath-taking ceremonies, with specific dates and locations to be announced soon. These individuals are expected to complete their registration by providing the necessary documents, including the Oath Form and identification requirements.
