Due to extreme heat conditions, face-to-face classes in several areas have been suspended for Monday, May 13, 2024. Schools in affected regions are advised to adopt asynchronous classes or alternative learning approaches. In areas where private schools are not specified, decisions regarding class suspension are left to the discretion of school authorities.
Metro Manila:
-Caloocan City: Kindergarten to senior high school, public
-Malabon City: Public schools
-Muntinlupa City: Blended learning for kindergarten to Grade 12, public (May 13-17) – Pasay City: All levels, public and private (May 13-14)
-Valenzuela City: Face-to-face classes suspended automatically when the heat index reaches 42°C for kindergarten to senior high school, public and private
Provinces:
– Bulacan: All levels, public and private, suspended from May 8 until further notice (Memorandum DRF-05072024-217)
Cities and Municipalities:
-Iloilo City: All levels, public and private (May 13-14). Schools with air-conditioned classrooms may decide whether to hold classes.
-Tanza, Cavite: Afternoon classes for kindergarten to senior high school, public (May 13-17)
-Umingan, Pangasinan: Afternoon classes for preschool to senior high school, public (until May 31)
Schools:
-University of Caloocan City (UCC): Graduate Studies, all levels
