The Department of Education (DepEd) has made a clarification with the regard to the enrollment of senior high school (SHS) students who are conditional qualified voucher applicants (QVAs). Conditional QVAs are those who are qualified to enroll but lacked a supporting document during the application process.
The education bureau noted to schools that conditional QVAs may still enroll in private schools. DepEd explained that a Conditional QVA certificate, which is required by the participating private school, can be downloaded on the “Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) student account.”
Conditional QVAs may enroll and submit their remaining supporting documents until October 30. Should they fail to do so, they will be displaced from the SHS voucher program (VP). SHS VP-participating schools may not bill for a conditional QVA until the conditional QVA has submitted all requirements. These also cannot bill for a conditional QVA who was disqualified.
DepEd on Tuesday posted reminders on its Facebook page for conditional QVAs.
