DepEd to release early April salary, 2018 PBB update


The Department of Education (DepEd) assures the early release of March of April salary. They also gave an update regarding 2018 performance base bonus.

DepEd Secretary Briones requests the Finance Department to release early March and April salary for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Department.

During the Mancom meeting held yesterday March 18, they said that it’s a priority to release the salary for the two months. And provide assistance to those affected with coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Regarding the 2018 performance base bonus it is still pending and the Department is not sure when it will be released.

Meanwhile, Usec. Annalyn Sevilla said “Pls remember that DepEd workforce is almost a million already and processing of compensation/benefits takes time; we need to proactively process and PREPARE documents until it reach the Banks for remittance to employees accounts. We need to take into consideration the urgency of tasks and at the same time follow existing financial policies and guidelines.”

“Sec Briones has relayed the direction and instructions to all RDs yesterday in the telecon/meeting. DepEd has to take care of the welfare of our employees, with an advice to spend their salaries and benefits with prudence and to prioritise health needs specially at this challenging time.”
she added.

  1. Sana naman huwag ipagkait sa amin ang pbb. Naglilingkod tau ng mabuti…ngayon na kailangan ng kaunting pang gastos. Sana ibigay nila. Para makatulong tayo sa ating mga kapwa na mas magmngangailangan… Pls. Dbm.

  2. We wish that our loan deductions will be waived even only this month of April. We are in need our salary in full during this time of COVID 19 crisis. Thank you.
