The Department of Education (DepEd) said that there will be changes in the implementation of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) starting this year as it prepares to fully roll out an improved version of its curriculum.
To finally put an end on the growing confusion regarding its earlier directive to exclude Grade 6 completers from holding graduation rites this school year, the Department of Education (DepEd) admitted that an “unauthorized” change was done in a department order that has been circulated.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is eyeing the possibility of providing insurance for all schoolchildren year-round as it called on regulatory agencies to “keep a sharper eye” and conduct more robust assessment and monitoring of vehicles – especially public utility vehicles which carry learners.
