A Tarlac elementary school teacher is facing multiple criminal charges for child sexual abuse and exploitation, filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) before the Tarlac Regional Trial Court. The charges include Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Lascivious Conduct.
The DOJ alleges that in 2019, the teacher lured two victims, aged 13 and 6, to his office and home on separate occasions, where he sexually abused them. He allegedly paid them ₱100-₱150 and provided sandwiches as enticement.
Prosecutor Criselda Teoxon-Yanga highlighted the coercive nature of the teacher’s actions, emphasizing the abuse of power and the vulnerability of the minors. Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla praised the prosecutors, stating that the filing of charges demonstrates the DOJ’s commitment to justice for vulnerable members of society.
