Salaries of public school teachers for the months of March and April meanwhile were released already.

Aside from this, Sevilla said DepEd is also processing performance-based bonuses, and was already released in some regions. A clothing allowance worth P6,000 was also given to all DepEd employees she said.

“Amin na rin pong inaasikaso iyong kanilang Performance Based Bonus at may mga regions na po na nakatanggap dito,” she said.

Sevilla explained that with the moratorium on loans, DepEd is finding ways to extend loan terms as assistance to teachers.

School activities and  classes in all levels have been suspended since March as the government cautioned against the spread of COVID-19.
