FUTURE READY ASEAN COMPETITION 2019
The ASEAN Foundation, in partnership with Microsoft and Empire Code Education Centre, will hold the Future Ready ASEAN Competition 2019, a regionwide competition on coding and sustainability.
The competition aims to empower the next generation to take the pilot seat in technology, encouraging youth to be creators, and not just consumers of technology. It is about enabling the youth to build their foundation in computer science while taking a step at becoming social entrepreneurs.
Participants will need to create a blog on sustainability, and describe how to design, build, or test a prototype solution to address said challenge. They must identify a sustainability challenge across any of the following themes:
1. Agriculture,
2. Biodiversity,
3. Climate Change, or
4. Water.
Eligibility requirements and other details are available through the website www.futurereadyasean.org.
The deadline for submission of entries is on October 13, 2019, 11:59 p.m. (Jakarta time). Finalists qualified for the final competition will be confirmed by November 15, 2019. The final competition will be held from November 28–29, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.
