DepEd starts printing learning modules for blended learning

With only a month left, the Department of Education (DepEd)has started printing learning modules that will be used for blended learning when classes start on Aug. 24.

Regional and division offices of DepEd have also extended their help in the printing of modules to speed up the process with only a month left before classes start, DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio said Thursday.

“We are pressed against time so the fastest way to do things is to distribute the load among our field units,” said San Antonio.

The education official added that the modules have digital versions that learners can access using gadgets without necessarily going online.

Printed modules will be used by students who are unable to participate in classes via online learning, the DepEd earlier said.

Teachers and education specialists designed the modules that were also assessed by the DepEd’s Bureau of Learning Resources, San Antonio said. Some of the modules were also printed in the Filipino language of select regions.

There are 700 learning modules for the first month of school, San Antonio said. Learning modules for subsequent months are already being prepared as well, he added.

Other education delivery modes introduced by DepEd are online instruction, radio, and television lessons.
