Department of Education Secretary Briones announced Tuesday, May 5, 2020, the opening of classes for School Year 2020-2021 will be on August 24 this year and will end on April 30, 2021.
However, students can either go to class physically or online due to enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and general community quarantine (GCQ) in different parts of the country.
Meanwhile, Public School Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel will report either online or physically starting June 1, 2020. They will undergo capacity building as preparation for new lessons and probably the new style of learning.
“Sa June 1 to 30 magrereport na sila virtually or physically. Anong gagawin nila from June 1 to 30 at hanggang sa opening of classes in August? They will undergo capacity building sa mga bagong lessons para sa mga bata,” Briones said.
