February 20, 2020
The Department of Education, through the DepEd uniform Committee (DUC), is currently undertaking the selection of new uniform designs for its employees.
This serves as an invitation to all uniform designers, dressmakers, and tailors who are interested to participate in the selection process. Participants shall submit the following:
- Prototype samples of the uniform design (at least four designs in different colors) mounted in a mannequin.
- Company profile; and
- Brief description of the textile materials (including origin and availability in the market).
The DUC select four (4) designs (male and female) from the submitted prototype samples for the teaching and non-teaching personnel of DepEd based on the following general considerations:
- Ready and general availability of the textile materials in the market;
- Uniqueness, comfort, and over-all look to convey presentability, modesty, and integrity as a public school teacher;
- Applicability of the design in different colors and fabrics including the use of tropical fabrics; and
- Cost of producing a set of uniform.
Interested participants may submit the above requirements of February 28, 2020 (08:00 – 12:00 nn) to the DUC through its Secretariat (Employee Welfare Division) at 4th floor Mabini Bldg., DepEd Central Office, Pasig City.
