In Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, a 19-year-old woman survived a brutal attack after being stabbed in an attempted rape by a man she met through social media.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds across her body.
Police reported that a tricycle driver discovered and rescued the woman in a remote area of Barangay Jose.
The victim recounted that she had arranged to meet the man at a bus terminal after he promised her a job opportunity. Instead, the suspect led her to a grassy area where he attempted to rape her. When she resisted, he stabbed her.
The woman is currently recovering in the hospital, while authorities are actively searching for the suspect.
