  • by

CUYAPO, NUEVA ECIJA – Two 80-year-old grandmothers in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, have achieved a lifelong dream: graduating elementary school. Lola Lolita Simbulan and Lola Laureta Dela Cruz were unable to finish their education in their youth due to financial constraints.

However, they seized the opportunity to complete their elementary education through the Alternative Learning System (ALS). They were among ten senior citizens who graduated this year in the municipality.

Beyond receiving their diplomas, the ten graduates were also awarded medals as “models of the youth,” highlighting their perseverance and dedication to learning. Their story serves as an inspiration to all, demonstrating that it’s never too late to pursue education and achieve one’s goals.
