A human arm was discovered inside the stomach of a shark caught in Barangay Calandagan, Araceli, Palawan.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Pepito Katon Jr. of the Araceli Municipal Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office revealed that the 20-kilogram shark was captured on February 15 in the waters near Canaron Island.
When the shark was cut open, a human arm was found inside its stomach. Unfortunately, the arm was already too decomposed to be processed for fingerprint identification.
Residents buried the arm, while the shark was disposed of.
Authorities have clarified that this incident is not related to the shark attack that occurred in Batangas on Thursday
