Student Attending Online Class While Selling Fruits Inspires

A fruit vendor who was spotted attending his online classes while selling fruits along the road has gone viral for being an inspiration amid the challenges posed by distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A netizen shared the photo of fruit vendor and student Mike who was seen with his laptop while selling fruits near the Marulas Public Market in Valenzuela City. The student was only using his phone for mobile data to attend his classes.

While many students air their problems over hard modules and faulty internet connection, Mike was seen as an inspiration amid these trying times.

“Sa gitna pandemic at mga nangyayaring hindi maganda sa mundo ngayon dahil sa pag taas ng mga bilihin, kahirapan eto pa rin si Mike pa tuloy na nagpupursige at nagsusumikap at nag-aaral habang nagtitinda sa gitna ng taas ng araw,” netizen Benj Gonzales wrote on Facebook.

(In the middle of a pandemic and despite all the bad things happening in the world like rising prices of goods, here is Mike pushing himself to study while selling during a hot day.)

“Nakakatuwa tong batang to bukod sa magalang na masipag pang magaral habang nagtitinda,” he added.

(This child is inspiring. Aside from being polite, he also studies hard while selling fruits.)

Gonzales said Mike was a grade 9 student of Valenzuela National High School. In awe of the student’s hard work, Gonzales said he also offered Mike to use their Wi-Fi at home.
