Mayor Vico Sotto favored the use of sablay instead of toga in the coming end-of-school-year rites of Public schools in Pasig City.
“Nagusap na kami ng mga pampublikong paaralan dito sa Pasig at mula sa “toga,” doon na rin kami sa “sablay.” Vico said.
The young mayor express his desire to use sablay after DepEd Usec. Alain del Pascua proposed to use sablay instead of the toga. He reiterates the good things about using it.

“Bukod sa mas Pilipino ito, pareho lang ang gagastusin ng LGU. Pero miuuwi nila ito pagkatapos ng graduation! (yung toga rental lang kasi)” Vico added.
