DepEd to make calibrations for modules and learning resources

  • by

The Department of Education (DepEd) has expressed its intent to make calibrations with regard to learning delivery after a month into the new school year.

During a press briefing, DepEd Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan shared that the education bureau’s Executive Committee and Management Committee have been holding regular meetings to share challenges and make changes for the succeeding quarters for the remainder of the academic year.

“We had our initial sharing of observations of the recent weeks of the delivery of learning under the Learning Continuity Plan and there are continuing issues that we are deliberating towards calibration with respect to modules, learning resources,” said Malaluan.

Among the preparations to be made are for the regional offices (ROs) to establish more “innovative, accessible, and flexible systems” for schools and Schools Division Offices (SDOs) throughout the country.

ROs will be boosting the utilization of learning materials such as television, radio, and Internet-based instruction, textbooks, and activity sheets. Additional help desks and hotlines will also be set up to make support more accessible.
