(As of June 6, 2020, 2:30 pm, the latest report shows that 6,313, 133 students from Kindergarten up to Grades 12 and those under the Alternative Learning System have already enrolled nationwide for the School Year 2020-2021.)

Region IV-A led the nationwide tally at 1,283,358 enrollees, followed by the National Capital Region (NCR) at 895,406, and Region III at 772,035 enrollees.

Under the remote enrollment system, parents do not need to physically go to schools. As a way of observing social distancing and health protocols, grades 1 to 12 students’ class advisers from the previous school year will be calling parents. Alternatively, parents can also get in touch with the class advisers. For children about to enroll for kindergarten, parents can get in touch with the school by making a call or accessing the school’s website to be guided on enrollment procedures.

Transferees and ALS students are also to contact schools directly online or by phyiscally visiting the school. Enrollment hotlines are in place with an enrollment focal person to respond to parents’ queries.

Beginning the third week of June, physical enrollent kiosks will also be made available in barangays for parents who do not have access to the Internet or a telephone. Social distancing measures will be strictly observed.

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced in May that classes for the 2020-2021 school year are set to open on August 24, a decision which was approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on May 11. The school year is set to run from August 24, 2020, to April 30, 2021.
