DepEd starts early registration for SY 2023-2024

The Department of Education (DepEd) has started early sign-ups for Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and 11 students for the 2023-2024 school year in public schools. The sign-ups will run from May 10 to June 9, 2023.

DepEd wants all incoming Kindergarten and Grades 1, 7, and 11 students in public schools to sign up early. This helps DepEd get ready for the new school year.

Students going into Grades 2-6, 8-10, and 12 in public schools are already considered signed up. Private schools are also asked to have their sign-ups during the same time.

While it’s best to sign up in person at schools, other ways of collecting forms may still be used. School leaders will encourage students who are not in school and their parents to sign up early.

All public schools are required to keep the Early Registration facility in the Learner Information System (LIS) updated daily.

Schools will use the Basic Education Enrollment Form (Updated March 27, 2023) to get all the needed information for the incoming students.

Schools may also use the Early Registration facility to sign up other grades (Grades 2-6, 8-10, and 12) based on past sign-ups to estimate the total number of students for the next enrollment period.
